Pradeep: Focusing on Self-Care

PRADEEP: Another useful strategy that I’ve found helpful to break the loop of anxiety and procrastination is focusing on self-care. So whenever I get anxious or stressed, a lot of times, I tend to do something more passive to run away from this feeling of anxiety or stress, like watching a YouTube video or consuming information in other forms, which just suspends the time until I have to come back to deal with it again.

However, instead, if I focus on self-care, doing something nice for myself, like cooking myself a meal, or just going for a walk, or just working out, this puts me in an environment where both mentally and physically, I’m in a supportive environment where I’m taking care of myself. And in this environment, I can come to terms with those feelings of stress and anxiety and deal with them much more effectively. And I found this a helpful way to break this loop of anxiety and procrastination.
