Jennifer: Growth Mindset

I also had found an IAP course on the growth mindset, which I found to be really immensely helpful for reframing my mind, which basically helped me to realize that it’s OK to struggle, and that through those struggles is actually how you learn and you grow, and that you shouldn’t just place your value and self worth on your successes and if things are working, but rather, if you know that you’re growing and that you’re learning and that you’re challenging yourself, that you should be– you can find happiness in knowing that. And so I think during the tough times when things aren’t working, I could be very hard on myself. But then if I reframe my mind to be like, well, no, but you learned all of this stuff, then that sort of changed my perspective.
