Emily: Avoiding All or None Thinking

EMILY: I think it’s important to be like forgiving of yourself if you don’t do even the small things. I think the thing that students struggle with a lot is that even sometimes they can’t even reach small goals, and that makes them feel worse about themselves. But I think you have to be OK with saying, it’s OK if I fail in some goals, but I reach others. And make those small goals that you do reach, feel like wins, but not seeing the small goals that you don’t reach as losses.
