Daniel: Seeing the Silver Lining

DANIEL: I think if I were to tell myself anything when I took time off from MIT, when I was leaving, I did not expect to experience all this stuff, and it has been immensely positive. And I think in general, the advice I would give is that some of this stuff that you may encounter in your academics may seem bad, like taking time off from MIT, not passing a class. But sometimes, they can actually be a good thing.

Taking time off from MIT is actually probably one of the best things that happened to me. It didn’t seem like that. I thought I wasn’t going to come back. I had a lot of doubts. I had a lot of fears. But it turned out to be one of the most positive experiences for me.
