A visiting international student from China, Annie was excited to come to MIT and learn more about astrophysics and cosmology from world renowned experts. The language barrier proved more difficult than she expected. Annie summoned the courage to email her professor after a poor quiz grade who provided encouragement and suggestions for how to increase language comprehension in his class.
