Neki: Getting Started with Writing

NEKI: I like creative writing, but in the academic context, it’s a bit more challenging. I have all these different thoughts in my mind, and I also need to include literature review and everything. And I start iterating the story in my head without writing it down, because I want it to be perfect.

So I get really stressed, and it blocks me at the end. And one thing that I have implemented and that helps me get out of there to get something on paper, is to set a timer for 10 minutes and just write anything that comes to my mind and put it on paper. And after seeing a first draft, I can really work with that.
