Teresa: Pacing Yourself

TERESA: I guess even approaching– I say small things like assignments because I’ve learned that in the bigger scale of things, school assignments really don’t matter that much.

But in terms of completing these things, I used to be completely just like, go, go, go. I’ll sit down for eight hours and just pump this out or I can do anything kind of mentality, which isn’t bad. I guess patience applied to that sort of thing is more just pacing myself.

So nowadays, kind of like I mentioned earlier, when I notice that things aren’t working, I remind myself that it is totally OK to allow myself to pick myself up and be in a good place before I continue instead of just continuing to drive myself beyond my limit in that moment in that day.
